Exercise programs at Mississauga

Seniors can benefit from some of the great programs that are offered at this Senior Centre. There are a variety of activities geared toward seniors. These activities are available all year round, though they may change based on the seasons and the weather. Some of the programs and classes that are offered are discussed in the list below.

1. There are many exercise classes that are great for seniors to be involved during the year. In the cold and hot months  is the time of year when most seniors become less active, which can have a negative effect on over-all health.

2. The Senior Centre has a walking club for seniors looking to remain active and take walks with other seniors.

3. For seniors over the age of 55, there is a volleyball and golf club available.

4. Aside from physical activities, the centre also offers educational classes. There is a computer class that teaches seniors the basics of using a computer.

5. Every day, there are scheduled clubs and activities for all members. These include horseshoes, mah jongg, bridge, shuffleboard, digital imaging and dancing.

6. All of the activities offered at Mississauga are designed for seniors. These activities provide exercise, social interaction and can also help seniors remain healthy and safe at home.
